Multi-instrumentalist and native New Yorker Austin Koenigstein, known professionally (and since childhood) as Smushie, is cranking out beautiful chaotic dream pop.  His volcanic live show illustrates and soundtracks a torrent of his self-produced material. Rich in both humor and urgency, Smushie’s songs leap into confrontation, touching on class divides, loss of innocence, bad-faith clowns, surreal landscapes, and the nuclear potential of a good time.
